| i'm definitely for those rubber bracelets (think livestrong bracelets) since they're simple & straight-forward. it could just be red with the words RED CARD HOMOPHOBIA printed across it. i think production costs would be fairly low? | |

| A website that does customized bracelets! Not sure how much they would be though, I love the idea. It gets the word out and might even strike up a convo so we can spread the word. | |

| Looking at their price sheet, the base price for a basic one (which would be best) would be $0.69 USD per band for 100 to 199 bands (which I figure is way more than enough to start). If we order 150 to start, it would cost $103.50 (and shipping is free within the US). I figure one person in the US would receive them then start shipping them out that way, donating all profits to charity; that way, we stay in control of where they are. Obviously, if we order more, we'd make more profit (cheaper per band) but since we're starting with basically no cash this is probably a good first step as we get things flowing. | |

| Another Option. Another Option. What fandomonymous said makes sense. Guess we just need to figure out were exactly to place the order once the donations start coming in. On that note, I need to go donate haha. | |

| most of those Armstrong style barclets' colours are already taken, I think we should try to find out who already 'claimed' red to make sure it doesn't clash with out cause.
I don't know how it can, but stranger things have happened...
In any case, I think we are going to print something on them white with red font would work better, red is a colour many people associate with anger, while white is a calming colour people associate with peace, and we wanna have what is called a 'peaceful' battle.

I did a quick google and found various info: - Quote :
- * Yellow: Cancer awareness
* Pink: Breast cancer * Red: Multiple Sclerosis * Purple: Fibromyalgia * Aqua: Tsunami Relief * Camouflage: military support * Green: Muscular Dystrophy. (http://www.jewelrymall.com/bracelet/rubber-bracelets.html)

- Red Rubber Bracelets
Red rubber bracelets usually are for HIV AIDS awareness and heart disease prevention. They have a variety of different messages stamped on them depending on the specific cause. They were also used for pro-Bush sentiments before the 2004 election and have been associated with anti-tobacco and smoking campaigns. In addition, after the Red Sox had their World Series victory, Red Sox red rubber wristbands that say "Red Sox Nation" became super popular. - Red rubber bracelets have a host of meanings, ranging from support of the British Heart Foundation to the American Red Cross and Canadian Blood Services. On the sporty and political end, red supports the Boston Red Sox and Republicans. Red can also denote child abuse awareness. - Red Rubber Bracelet Wristbands promote awareness for the Go Red For Women Red Dress Campaign, Heart Disease, Diabetes and AIDS. (http://www.bumperstickermagnet.com/wristbands-hope-faith-courage-red.html
So yeah red is used already for a bunch of causes, of which I think aids is the one you'd primarly associate with the colour. At least around here (Germany). I like your idea with the red on a white background though if that's doable.
